Professor Vicente Gentil was the scientist who introduced the science of corrosion in Brazil and was one of the founders of the Brazilian Corrosion Association (ABRACO). The Award, organized by ABRACO, is given to the best oral paper presented at the InterCorr, an international event that takes place every two years.

2.1. All congress participants regularly registered in the InterCorr 2025 and who submitted an expanded abstract or a complete paper for oral presentation.

3.1 During the evaluation of the expanded abstracts or full papers submitted, the evaluator indicates whether the paper in question is a candidate to receive the Prize.

3.2 All nominated papers are candidates for the Prize.

3.3 At least one month before the congress, an Evaluation Committee is appointed by the Congress Executive Committee composed of three renowned experts.

3.4 Each member of the Evaluation Committee reads all the nominated papers and, by mutual agreement, the Evaluation Committee selects the five best papers before the start of the congress.

3.5 During the conference, the members of the Evaluation Committee attend the oral presentation of the five selected papers.
